Buruanga’s Local Government Unit welcomed the National Assessment Team on September 19, 2023, at the municipality’s National Validation for the Seal of Good Local Governance. Mayor Concepcion P. Labindao, the SGLG focal person, Mr. Kar Lou Santero, and MLGOO, LGOO VI Leda C. Cenon spearheaded the program along with the municipal officials, focal persons for the 10 governance areas, municipal government department heads and representatives from national agencies.

One of the validators, LGOO VI Jupiter Dawa, said that the municipality embodies the 3Cs— consistent, confident, and compliant. Additionally, they were appreciative of the gracious greeting they received from the leaders and employees during the course of their stay.

The term “SGLG” not only refers to the high level of service that a municipality is capable of providing, but also to the agency’s workforce’s capacity to work together harmoniously, which was especially evident at today’s event. Indeed, LGU Buruanga came back strong.
