
The Buruanga Balay Silangan Reformation Center was finally launched and inaugurated last September 10, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Brgy. Nazareth, Buruanga, Aklan.
The “Balay Silangan” is part of the PDEA Harm Reduction Efforts. It is a national drug reformation program which offers temporary refuge to drug offenders and surrenderers with the objective of making them self-sufficient and law-abiding members of the society.
PDEA-6 Acting Regional Director Alex M. Tablate with members of PDEA-Aklan, Hon. Concepcion P. Labindao, Municipal Mayor, Racefin C. Suco, MLGOO, PCOL RAMIR PERLITO P PERLAS, Provincial Director, Aklan PPO, PLT JOSELITO P FERNANDEZ, ACOP, Buruanga MPS, Hon. Cleo Marie C. Santillan, 5th MCTC Judge Buruanga-Malay and Mr. Rodney Gonzales of DOH with Fr. Zaldy Zarandin, Parish Priest spearheaded the Launching and Inauguration of the Buruanga Balay Silangan Reformation Center.
The Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council members, Municipal Officials and LGU employees participated in the Manifesto of Commitment as well as witnessed the unveiling of the Balay Silangan Marker.
